Well the reviews for this tea are a bit underwhelming, but I liked it! A black tea base without bitterness or astringency along with vanilla cereal flavoring. Maybe I didn’t expect a lot from this flavored blend, but I liked the second steep so much I tried for a third. Which was weaker, but still drinkable. I give it a thumbs up for drinking again, maybe not to seek out and purchase :)
Thanks to Skysamurai for sending it my way!

I love rice Krispy treats. But not the ones you get in stores. No offense but I find them disgusting. The ones you make in home. Those are where it’s at. Can’t really say this reminds me of either of them. The marshmallows they used are nice, sweet but not artificial tasting. The base black tea has a nice woody flavor with bits of chocolate.

Preparation: Western
Tasting note: I tasted this for a moment before I added oatmilk and honey, it pretty much tasted like black tea and the slightest of marshmallow flavor. There is rice krispie cereal in the blend but I don’t think it does much of anything to be honest. I was hoping that we would get some puffed rice like a black genmaicha but I was sorely disappointed.

As soon as I added the milk and honey, this tea was pretty plain, the marshmallow flavor had been covered up so it tasted pretty ordinary. I think I would try to brew this tea a little lighter and not make it as a latte in the future.

Side note: Hopefully, I can hunt down the marshmallow treat or strawberry marshmallow treat blends in the future, they are currently out of stock. I think that a roasted rice blend would be much more interesting and closer to the intended dessert.

Hmmm I drank some of the green version of this tea today, and I have to say that one is a lot more accurate to the name. I didn’t include any marshmallows in the cup, but I don’t think that would have made a difference. It tastes kind of deep and roasted, maybe approaching caramel or brown sugar? It tastes good, but not at all like the name. In my second cup, I get a fair amount of smokiness. Thanks to amandastory516 for sharing!

Thanks for the sample, Amandastory!

The flavors in this one are pretty light. I can taste light marshmallow, but not much else. No rice flavor. Any flavor there is doesn’t seem well complimented by the tea base and they seem to be fighting it out and both loosing. Maybe I’ll try a larger serving for my next cup.

I really enjoyed this one and it smells amazing. I would definitely purchase some of this if I ever place an order. It’s a really nice dessert black tea.

Grabbed another few blends from The Necessiteas to try. I love genmaicha/rice krispy blends and I love black tea, so this flavor profile intrigued me. Sadly, there’s no popped rice, so it’s really lacking the proper flavor to make it a rice krispy. However, it’s a nice marshmallow black tea. It’s quite sweet (as expected), and would probably make a delicious latte.

I have 10 or so blends from The Necessiteas at this point. I know they’re sometimes difficult to obtain, so if anyone in the US is interested in trying some, feel free to send me a message!
