From Tetley

Black tea (Orange Pekoe) is the most popular tea in the western world. The leaves of the Camellia Sinensis bush are expertly picked by hand just as they are for green tea, but after picking, they are allowed to naturally ferment. This process elicits a flavour that’s both exquisite and unmistakable. Each sip of Tetley Orange Pekoe Tea will tantalize your taste buds – making it easy for you to indulge in cup after delicious cup.

This tastes alright but it is a bit weak. I made 500ml of tea with 1 bag which works great with Red Rose brand orange pekoe tea but it was a bit weak so next time I will use 2 bags or make less tea.

It is a staple in my home just because I have English in-laws that want “regular” or “normal” tea and because well it’s inexpensive and I won’t feel bad having 5 a day.

I was in the mood for this one again today. Could be partially that a lot of my stash has ended up in the office. Weekends often see me with an espresso latte, instead, but today felt like a Tetley day again. Nice and satisfying…once the puppy finally went to sleep and allowed me more than 30 seconds to sit down.

Faithful friend since the day I first discovered tea. Its been a staple of my cupboard. When I need tea and not in the mood for anything more than some basic tea, this is good.

Have been drinking this at work. Prefer Red Rose, but maybe one of these days this will give me the magic cuppa. It’s always hard to figure out when you’ll get one of those.

Just a middle of the road tea for me. Its very popular with guests and it is my sister’s preferred tea so I always keep a box on hand. I don’t dislike it, there is just nothing overly special about it.

Nothing fancy, but it’s a solid Pekoe. Good with milk and sugar.

This is what I drink all night at work. In the “premium” individually-wrapped bags on a good night — from the “Food Service” box tonight. I steep it in a paper cup, swirling constantly, for under a minute, after which it gets bitter quick. Drinkable with a splash of milk — but I’m going back to 1%, because it doesn’t hold up to the fattiness of the whole milk I tried today.

I drink this at least twice a day – first thing when I get up in the morning, and before I go to bed at night. It’s my go-to tea!
