When I finally could see my family in Belgium back after 22 months because of the pandemic, my sister-in-law gave me a pack of this first flush darjeeling, remembering the wonderful first flush darjeeling I had served her and my brother when they visited us in Hampshire, UK a few years ago. Unfortunately, the tea company I bought that darjeeling from is no more, so it´s difficult finding a replacement.
The German company responsable for picking and distributing this specific darjeeling is new to me, but it seems they offer great value for money, which I can appreciate a lot (yes, there are a lot of huge brands around, often providing wonderful teas at premium prices, but smaller brand names might just be able to sell even nicer teas without the posh packaging ;-) ).
The first time I brewed this darjeeling I wasn´t particularly impressed (probably comparing too much to that previous first flush darjeeling), as I thought the liquor was maybe a bit too pronounced in colour, the aroma´s not as elegant as I wanted them to be, but in mouth it´s a nice and gentle first flush alright. As the leaves are still in a bright and lively condition after one brew, I decided to steep them again, and I even think the tea grows with a second steeping! I now always take 2 mugs with one and the same teaspoon of loose tea. I tried steeping it a third time once, but there, quality and enjoyment went straight down ;-)
A final note : I truly believe that a good pouch (with zipper) is a better way of maintaining the quality of these fine teas. I shall need to drink this tea a lot and/or put the bag in a tin.

I’m glad you were able to reconnect with family! (And a tea reconnection at that!)
