Small Big Traveling Tea Box

Almonds and Rose. Interesting. I’m a pretty big cheerleader of almonds in tea when it is done right! And this one really makes me want to break out my pom poms:P tehehe. Very nice job, Teavana. I could actually see myself purchasing this one. The rose and almond flavors melt together much better than I expected that they would. It tasted a bit smooth and doughy, like an almond cookie…but with a lovely hint of rose. If you aren’t a huge fan of rose in teas, you still might want to grab a taste of this one.

I am not a fan of this tea. It has a weird cinnamon cookie flavor.

It appeals to me, because it has an incredibly light tea body. It’s not heavy in flavor since it is a white tea. There is also every slight citrus note that compliments the peppermint in the background. It is not bitter at all, there is even slight sweetness. The color is also amazing and appealing, it really is golden.

It’s been a while since I’ve had this tea and my opinion has changed, so I thought I’d re-log it. This is a really great black tea. I’m normally not a fan of black tea, but WOW is this basically perfect. The rose just does something wonderful to whatever black tea is in here. I had it with just a bit of rock sugar; it doesn’t need cream at all (unlike most black teas). It’s a shame that Teavana is discontinuing this.

(Sample from silentrequiem. Thanks!)

For the longest time I refused to try this tea because of the floral smell. I’m not a fan of flowerly things and this one smells like baby powder to me. Finally a friend came in and really wanted to try it, so I had a sip of his. It’s not bad! Definitely not my go to, but for something that I found the smell to be unpleasant for, it’s not terrible. I was pleasantly surprised.

By far the BEST black tea from Teavana I have ever purchased! De-lic-ious! It has a nutty flavor with rose and cinnamon undertone! YUM!

One of my favorite black teas. Dark enough to please me but with enough added flavor to make me smile. I love the cinnamon/almond flavor because it’s not overpowering. I don’t detect rose in this at all though, which is a little disappointing and why I didn’t give it 100.

I was looking for a replacement for their Rose Marzipan Delight, and this looked like the closest thing. I am a big fan of floral teas, especially rose, so I was hopeful. Amandine Rose is more cookie-like than it is rosy, but it’s still a delicious tea, especially as a dessert tea.

This tea is amazing with honey and cream (and indulge yourself- use actual cream, not milk). The flavors don’t overwhelm the base black tea, and the aroma is wonderful.

One of the better teas from Teavana. The flavors are not overpowering, and I could taste both almond cookie and rose in it. The rose flavor is lovely and subtle, and accompanies, rather than overpowers the almond. A wonderful dessert tea.
