From Tearunners

Black Dragon is a high-grade tea in the classic style of Fujian Province blacks. It’s is a “congou”, a name used in the tea trade meaning skill and patience.

This tea is multi-layered in taste, ranging from sweet cocoa, to hints of malt and fresh fruit. Its leaves are large and rich in flavor, so it will steep well multiple times.

A great tea for first thing in the morning or a refreshing boost in the day.

Gongfu Sipdown (1402)!

This gorgeous & tippy tea is robust and full bodied with bold and complex notes of bittersweet dark chocolate, burnt sugar, baked yams, smoke, and stewed red fruits – but it’s really the burnt sugar and cocoa notes that stay with you after the finish! Such an interesting balance of bitterness and sweetness made for a very enjoyable tea session this afternoon!!

the best part of this tea for me is the aftertaste which is a tad fruity and sweet, with some astringency, making it bright in the mouth. perhaps i haven’t figured out the proper steeping time but aside from a hint of powdered cocoa taste, the tea tasted very much like straight hot water, except for its aftertaste
