From Tealyra

Mao Xie means literally “Hair of the Crab” and refers to the hairs on the tea leaves that break off when brewed and float on the top of your cup. This is wonderful green-style oolong, a highly aromatic and floral tea grown only in the AnXi Region.

Mao Xie is lightly oxidized and has got a thicker and sweeter taste than its more floral counterpart Tie Guan Yin

Dry leaf smell- cream, fruit, sweet, floral
Taste- floral, cream, though I wish the flavor was stronger. Short steeps had better flavor, longer steeps were smoother. My notes have a lot of question marks by this tea. Couldn’t quite get it right somehow.
