From Tealux

The tea garden from which we sourced our Long Jing Supreme is a 2 hour hike off the main road, nestled amongst pine trees at over 1000 meters above sea level. For three generations, the family that worked this land has crafted exceptional Dragonwells by hand, using completely organic farming methods, and following pan-firing techniques handed down from one generation to the next. Each tea leaf was meticulously hand-picked in late March 2012, then just as carefully roasted by hand on wood fired pans.

Long Jing Supreme’s appellation shows through in every aspect of the tea: brilliant green leaf buds, fresh floral aroma with hints of watermelon and spring grass, clear, perfectly smooth liquor with absolutely no astringency.

The first thing that I noticed was the sweetness, it seems a lot sweeter than the last few dragowell teas that I have had. The flavor is a lot more subtle with just a hint of grassyness to it. Overall I think this is a nice dragonwell, especially since it lacks the astringency that I find occasionally in them.

Fairly sweet, smooth and light tea with an ethereal like golden colour. Has a slight buttery vegetal flavour. Steep 2 – 3 times.
