From Tea Mountain

Excellent high-altitude oolong from Mr. Lin’s beautiful gardens on Mount Cui Feng, which is a neighbor of the more famous and higher-lying Mount Li Shan (it is often mistaken for this tea on the market, as it is very similar in character). Strongly rolled oolong with a very low degree of oxidation and minimal roasting, clear in infusion, light greenish with a subtle floral aroma. Light in body, but full, the taste is smooth and sweet, more pronounced with aromatic notes of fruit with a hint of citrus and a delicate milky tone. Pleasant mountain oolong at a very friendly price

Harvest time: mid-July 2024

Area: Cui Feng, Nantou District (garden altitude around 1800 m above sea level)

Cultivar: Qin Shin

A nice enough gao shan oolong. The aroma is floral and reminds me of pineapple, custard, and green beans. The taste is crisp, sweet and buttery. There are flavours of citrus fruits, spinach and touch of orchid.
