From Tea Hong

As one of the most famous Wuyi oolongs, Rooster Crest defines a totally different taste profile and appearance from its peers. It is light in color, mild and soft in taste. Perhaps one of the lightest in ALL oolongs. Used to be an elusive variety until a few farmers began persistently propagating the original cultivar since the mid-1980’s. Nevertheless, genuine fine ones such as this Tea Hong selection are still rare. The plant grows slowly, yield is low, and processing for it demanding.
