From tea-adventure

The Mingqing Company in Simao provided us with this high quality raw puerh tea. This tea originates from Xishuangbanna, near the Menghai area. Purple Bud Puerh Tea is made from the tender single bud of the wild Puerh tea trees or maocha. The fresh buds on the tea trees are purple and the dried leaves are shiny and dark. However, when you taste this tea you’ll find it to be a relatively young raw puerh cake that has only been aged since 2007. Because of its characteristic taste, this puerh is ready to drink now, but it will get even better with age.
