From Tantalizing Tea

Light colour, sweet flavour with buttery notes. Hints of pineapple. Exquisite! Great for 3 or more infusions.

This is a nice Oolong tea. A light buttery taste, roasted nut flavor in the background, and a fruit flavor (pineapple-esque) flavor in the foreground. A pleasantly sweet tea with a tartness that hits the palate just before the finish. No astringency.

A lovely Oolong!

Heyes

I’m curious: The buttery flavor, was it primarily in the first steeping(s)? I’ve tasted that flavor maybe once or twice in a really good oolong, a greener Oolong if I recall. I quite like it.

LiberTEAS

The buttery flavor here is lighter than in other Oolongs that I’ve had (Usually, I’ll find the butter taste in a green Oolong), but it was most evident in the first two steepings. After that, I noticed more of the fruit-like note coming through.

I want to thank MandyB for this one!
This almost looks like a green and as it cools sort of tastes like a green but a sweeter green! This is very clean and fairly sweet. I can understand the pineapple notes the product description mentioned. There isn’t anything wrong with this tea in my book!

Not sure of the taste, maybe a little buttery? Kind of a light carmel flavor with BUTTERSCOTCH. Light butterscotch, definitely… wait, isn’t that was carmel and butter IS?

6/10, not great but not bad either.

Mike

Would you recommend? Other caramel-y teas you’d recommend? I’m on the hunt…starting to get colder in NYC ;)

TeaCast

I’ll have to think about it and get back to you! This butterscotch wasn’t bad, but I’m sure I can dig up a pretty caramel-y tea from my stash and test it out, I’ll post a review sometime today on it for you :)

Mike

Thanks, much appreciated!

Sure thing, Mike! Haven’t had a second all day to post, so I apologize :). Here’s an obvious one from Adagio Teas: http://tr.im/At8P
