This is actually one of the “two” plantation that inspired us to begin the traditional processing journey since the end of 2017. One of them, as long time Taiwan Sourcing fan, is the plantation that grows “Overlord” and “Nectar Earl.” Another one, is this tea you are seeing right now from Mingjian.
Mr. Chen is the farmer that helped us with the creation of “Night Jade,” a tea that we still consider some of the best Cui Yu in the market. However, he did not join the processing stage for this tea, because he was already exhausted by his agriculture work of organizing tea plucking squad and transporting the material. This time is different, after our pleading and entreating, he finally agreed to process his own material with us, since he is one of the very people who carries the condition that allows the tea to be hand waved properly during the withering stage.
“Man, I will only do this with you until 9:00 PM. I need to rest.” Mr. Chen told me before we began our hand waving marathon, and all we can say to him was “Certainly!” because he looked truly tired. It still amazed us he was still capable to complete the task for his tea beyond our standard under such condition, which really assisted us a lot during the most tiresome and exhausting stage.
So as planned, Mr. Chen left at around 21:30 then went home, leaving the crew of tea factory and us to finish the rest of the work until 04:45. After we did it we knew that we finally have a chance to bring this plantation in front to you three years after the first encounter. We created an affordable tea that has a rich body and fruity aroma that will make a tea lover’s afternoon in serenity. This varietal Four Seasons Spring, once under great plantation management and great care during processing, can become such an ideal tea for daily drinking to share with friends and family.
