Curious about this one for a while, so I decided to finally give it a shot in t2’s 50% off closing sale. First sips definitely packed a punch in a surprising way with just how much sourness and tang they had to them. Strong malic acid/acidified apple notes coupled with zesty lemon. Almost gives me coca cola if you crossed it with lemonade vibes. Almost. Once you get past the pucker of the top notes the flavour is very predictably and pleasantly cola-like. Anise heavy, in a good way, with that great medley of citrus and spices. Really refreshing and just sweet enough, which also not really feeling like a spiced tea even though the spices were totally doing the heavy lifting here.
And I didn’t mind that malic shock in the top notes once I knew to expect it!
