I didn’t know what it was when I ordered it at Cavallini, in Clifton Hill. Was expecting something herbal but it turned out to be a fruit tea. The cafe served the tea in a very pretty Kyoto Blossom teapot, but when I poured the tea into my cup, the bright pink-red colour really startled me… hibiscus!!! :0 At first the tea was ok, there was only sweet berry flavours, no tartness. But the tea continued to steep inside the teapot, the inevitable tartness developed… my advice: keep the steeping time short!

Winter Salo

Tartness and berry flavours are my favourite combination in a fruit infusion – how does this compare to T2’s vanilla slice?

Devilish

I haven’t got the chance to try Vanilla Slice, so I am sorry that I cannot comment! But if you like tartness and berry flavours, you may try fruit infusions by Tea Forte!

Winter Salo

Thanks for the tip Devilish, I shall go exploring, I love trying new teas. :)

Devilish

You are welcome, Winter Salo :) I love trying new teas too (especially those with lovely packaging or cute names, haha). It helps me learn more about teas as I am quite new to tea-tasting. I like T2’s teas but they can hardly be found in Hong Kong, so I am really happy that I can know more about them from your reviews!

Winter Salo

You poor thing – I would be totally lost without T2’s pretty stores so I’m very happy to be a window to them for you – I just love strolling through smelling all the beautiful teas. I must admit I’m very drawn to gorgeous packaging and cutesy names, being from Melbourne how could I not drink Melbourne Breakfast every morning? ;) And botanica sounds so nice like freshly picked fruit in your cup. It’s terrible since reading your review all I want to do is drink it!

Grabbed a sample of this from the store yesterday because the social team keep mentioning it whenever people ask about Shimmer Punch.

Tart, tart, tart.

Hibiscus ruins everyone’s fun.
