A sample from Miss B. I’ve only had a couple of tulsi blends, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try another. It’s slightly earthy in taste, which works well with the spiciness of the ginger. The pink peppercorns add an additional edge of heat that lingers at the back of my throat. I can’t taste the orange at all, which makes me a little sad.

This one would be a good sore throat tea. It’s flavourful enough as it is, but I’m not a huge ginger fan so it’s not one I’d drink on a regular basis. I like the pepper, though. It’s rare that I can taste pepper in a tea, and it’s a delight here with the earthiness of the tulsi. A good winter warmer! It’s a shame it’s 30 degrees out today. I feel like I chose an unseasonable day to try this one.

I drank this when I was ill. I try to drink spicy teas when sick so that I am able to detect at least some resemblance of flavour. This was gingery with a hint of pepper. My taste-buds couldn’t detect the orange because I was too ill. I am not rating this though, due to not wanting to be unfair. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t clear through my congestion.

Normally I’m not all that crazy over tulsi blends but this one is pretty good. The orange and tulsi combination in here reminds me of Butiki’s Tangerine Creamsicle guayusa. There are pink peppercorns in the blend, which initially excited me, but alas, I don’t taste them.

Another cup gone and I’m left with the craving of more tea because this isn’t quite what I wanted. I’ve been working on these smaller amounts I have, either leftover from older orders of mine, or from the parcel I received from the wonderful MissB when she was making up grab bags for anyone interested, so as a result, I’m simply not drinking teas for which I am in the mood.

Thanks for the tulsi, MissB!

Been drinking this a lot lately, thanks to JustJames via the SSTTB. It’s orangey, tangy and with only a hint of tulsi, I’m really, really enjoying this bag. I’ll be through it awfully fast the way I’m going.
