From Steeped and Infused

Our Number 1 selling tea, Japanese Cherry is delightful infusion of Japanese green Sencha tea blended with sweet cherries, beautiful rose petals and natural cherry flavour resulting in an exquisite cup of tea that is inspiring to the senses and soothing to the soul. Japanese Cherry also makes a delicious iced tea!

Steeping Instructions: Use 1tsp of tea per 6oz cup. Steep for 1-3 minutes in water that has not reached boiling point, 80 C. For optimal enjoyment of green tea, it is important to steep for the recommended time and to not use boiling water, as it may result in your tea tasting bitter.

I can understand why this tea is popular. I like that the floral notes aren’t really strong, so it really is more of a green cherry tea. However, as is often the case, the “weight” of the tea just isn’t enough for me. I love thick, full bodied delicious teas. I still think this is a nice tea but it’s nothing i need to pick up again. I do really like the cherry taste, so now i just need t find a cherry black tea :) or maybe a roasted oolong… stacy i’m looking at you! lol

I had such high hopes for this one. I tried Cherry Blossom by David’s Tea yesterday and fell in love with it, but since it’s so expensive and only available for a limited time I was hoping this one could replace it, but sadly no. :(

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still pretty nice, but the taste reminds me too much of cough drops and cold medecine in general for me to be able to really enjoy it. It won’t be restocking this once I’m done with my sample. Too bad.
