From Stash Tea

For many years, Stash Earl Grey Tea has been a favorite of tea lovers. Many people seem to love the careful balance of citrusy oil of bergamot and the blend of fine black teas which our Earl Grey blend is famous for. Certain Earl Grey fanatics have grown especially fond of the top grade Calabrian oil of bergamot that we use and have asked for more, ..More,… MORE! Thus Stash Double Bergamot Earl Grey was born.

This is a great late afternoon or early evening tea. It goes very well with shortbread and cream scones. And for a uniquely appealing cold beverage, try Double Bergamot Earl Grey tea on ice.

Ingredients: blended black teas, bergamot extract
Steeping Instructions: 3-5 minutes at 190-209 degrees Fahrenheit
Caffeinated: Yes

The best earl grey tea I’ve had thus far.

This tea is definitely best if brewed less than I did today, but still amazingly good. It definitely gets pretty bitter if brewed too long, though, but still one of my favorites.

One of the best Stash teas. The double bergamot really makes earl grey lovers happy. I like the loose leaf version much better though.

Among one of my favourite black teas. Every morning, before it gets too hot to venture outside, I walk four miles to the nearest well and gather just enough for my morning brew. Steeped in freshly boiled water straight from the fire.

So i’ve been out of practice. But the good news is i have a ton of teas i need to add tastings for. So i will get this out of the way since its the most recent that i tried during the holidays at my parents house.

What a strong aroma from this tea, but i guess with double bergamot this should be expected. i added a bit of milk to this one to cut down on the strong flavor (which is a rarity for me) but after that it was very enjoyable. I generally like lighter earl greys so if you like it strong this one is definitely for you.

The Tea that got me drinking tea! I’m now more of a Bigelow earl grey fan, but this one still has the most wonderful smell. Don’t let it steep too long or the flavor is super strong. Don’t forget about it either, because it’s a strong tea to have while cold (or luke-warm).

Very strong bergamot… evened out by the half & half but still not a balance of flavors for an earl grey that I prefer.

I think I might have developed a small tolerance to bergamot because most times normal earl greys don’t quiet satisfy my tea hunger anymore. I think someday I might just be drinking bergamot straight from the bottle. Stash really does an excellent job with this tea. It’s quality I would have expected from Twinings (normally I don’t care for Stash tea).
I don’t know how I would have graduated high school without this tea. It was my morning fuel (besides breakfast). It was my cure-all for any sickness I might have had and my favorite tea in health.
If I had to marry a tea it would be this tea.

This is an amazingly good tea … I tend to buy it loose leaf rather than prebagged. I love living near the Stash store!
