From Stash Tea

This tea will have you singing “All I Want for Christmas Is You” to your teacup.

Flavors of orange, spearmint, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla come together like a Christmas carol (if you’re into that sort of thing), and make this Christmas tea a superb blend to harmonize with. But this tea isn’t restricted for only Christmas Eve… While sharing a cup of this sweet and spicy tea with loved ones the night before the big day does make for a delicious tradition, sipping this blend any of the other 364 evenings can bring about some of that same Christmas cheer.

Since this blend is caffeine-free, it is the ideal hot cinnamon spice tea to sip on before visions of sugar plums (or Mariah Carey in a Santa outfit) begin to dance in your head.

Ingredients
Cinnamon, orange peel, spearmint, vanilla extract, orange oil, natural cinnamon flavor, natural clove flavor

This tea is so yummy that I have to have it every now and then. I bought two boxes of it just because is soooo good. I take it with one tbsp of honey and tastes heavenly.

With a clementine orange and some peppermint dark chocolate, it’s a decent afternoon pick-me-up. Too minty for regular consumption though. But it was the tea for today on the advent calendar (tomorrow is Christmas Morning, naturally!) Now back to wrapping and cooking…

Another tea appropriate to the season. I was rather skeptical of this, as I don’t tend to like things mixed with my mint and am somewhat leery of spearmint, but it’s actually rather interesting. The spearmint and cinnamon definitely dominate, with the orange and cloves vanilla in the background, and maybe just a hint of vanilla. The combination is much more pleasant than I would have anticipated. I’ll probably decide to get more of this to see how I like it over the long term. It’s definitely very unique and festive, so it’s worth trying just for that reason.

Maybe I haven’t figured out how to brew it right. Boring…

This tea was very mild. Well, really it was just weak. Granted, I might not have gotten the water to /exactly/ the right temperature, because I don’t have a kettle or or stovetop with which to boil water right now. (I rely on cruddy microwaving techniques to get by. Oh, dorm life…) This tea was minty with a hint of citrus, and I caught the faintest bit of vanilla as well. Even so, most of these flavors were subpar, even the mint. It was almost as if they weren’t even there. (As far as the aroma goes though, it had a lot of minty zing.)
But it’ll certainly give you fresh breath!
I likely wouldn’t try this again. If you’re a fan of mild minty teas, this might be for you.

I like the blend of citrus and cinnamon, however the herbal base isn’t strong enough to handle those strong flavors.

Love the combination of spice and citrus in this one.
