From Sloane Tea Company

What’s in it
Oolong tea, natural flavouring.

Where it’s from
This Oolong is grown at a high-altitude on Wuyi Mountain, an enormous volcanic fault structure with deep gorges surrounded by sharp cliffs and cave systems. The tea grows along these steep cliffs.

How it tastes to us
This oolong is rich, smooth and delicately creamy. Since the base is a high mountain oolong, it’s underlying profile is light, sweet and floral.

Why we chose it
This is the best variation on traditional “milk oolong” we have tasted. The natural creaminess of this type of oolong is so elegantly enhanced.

How we steep it
Let your boiling water cool for a few minutes before pouring over the leaves and steeping as the guide above suggests. Oolong can be steeped multiple times, each new steep tasting a little different than the one before.

When we drink it
When we’re ready to slow down. You’ll find you too will take time to breath and relax between sips.

Oolong is perhaps my absolute favorite type of tea, and this one is particularly exceptional. No unnatural flavoring, so smooth and creamy, and presents the richest amber hue, even after repeated steeping. Such a clean almost fruity essence too… I could probably drink nothing but this for months.

My highest rated tea to date.

My friend got this as her tea and honestly I think I just drank her tea more than mine. The consensus was between the four of our teas, this was the best. It was floral and certainly an oolong but a creamy vanilla/buttery oolong with a honeysuckle type floral that was really nice. Plus it held up to the teapot prep method that seemed to lead to the other teas being oversteeped. Not to mention we added more water to the leaves and it still had a lot of flavor. I’d drink this again.

Oh yeah, this is a good one!

Sloane is just too expensive for what it is imo….unless you can get in on their sales.

That’s true. I only ever owned their Heavenly Cream Tea and that’s because it was forced on me in a box set with the Mother’s Day truffles made by CXBO with Kitten an the Bear and Sloane

Thank you Sil for this lovely creamy Oolong. It tastes much like a milk Oolong and it is nice as I loooooove milk Oolongs.
So of course it is creamy, buttery and mellow but it is quite flowery as well and has a touch of mineral taste (even a long mineral taste) at the very end of the sip especially when the cup is beginning to cool down.
I love it.

A bit on the smokey-cream side. I still personally prefer David’s Milk Oolong over this version if I am going to have a flavour altered oolong, though when tasted next to one another there are many similarities. This one doesn’t have the clean and airy mouth feel that the other does. Still, a pretty good brew. My boyfriend’s a big fan, and I love the design of the tin.
