From Simpson & Vail

Two of my favorite tastes – chocolate and creamy caramel – meet in this delicious black tea blend. Let the sweet chocolate aroma awaken your senses while the rich, smooth chocolate taste, and buttery aftertaste, thrill your tastebuds.

Ingredients: black teas, organic cacao nibs, chocolate caramel flavoring, and safflower petals.

This is a fairly strong tea, the black tea itself is very bold and the chocolate is almost overpowering in its intensity. Definitely not a tea to add too much of to your infuser or steep to long, but if you get it just right it’s delicious!

I over-steeped this the first time so this is round 2! This tastes so much better with a little cream added as it really helps bring out the richness of the caramel. This is what I would consider to be a “light” dessert tea because the caramel and chocolate flavors are there but subtle.

Thank you Courtney for introducing me to Simpson & Vail! I love me some dessert teas. ;-D

I would have thought the flavor would be stronger based on how strong the dry leaf smell is. I’m using mine as potpourri. jk :P

Hahaha! Well, you know how much I like teas with robust (taste bud smack-down) flavors. :D

Whoa this is rich. Very, very rich! Maybe even too rich? It is a liquified brownie smothered in caramel. I think I would really need to be in the mood for this one as I am finding it hard to get through right now. Thank you Courtney! I think this will be something I turn to when I really need that brownie flavor.

Courtney

I found the same thing here.

VariaTEA

It is certainly not something I could drink often but it was not bad.

Courtney

Agreed. S&V does their flavoured teas well, even if they are a bit rich in my opinion. :)
