From Silk Road Teas

Province:Guangdong Type:Tieguanyin
Ever inventive, skilled grafting of a high-grade Tieguanyin varietal with the traditional early-spring Huang Jin Gui oolong created this delicious treat, Golden Jade. The leaf is medium size, beautifully shaped and preserved. It is low-oxidized, offering a light and fresh-green appearance. The taste reflects the deft hand of the tea maker – it is full-bodied, naturally floral and lush, delivering a wonderful aromatic note that will linger. This oolong is a real treat and the lot we found is very well made.

Golden Jade Oolong (Huang Guan Yin) is a surprise, I am on the third steep and it is still delivering an amazing honey flavor with a brightness I can’t pick a good word to describe. I love teas that do not require any adulteration and this one is good right out of the pot. One note it does lose the brightness once it cools, I often will use the last cup of a pot over ice in the afternoon, it loses something in translation to cold.
