From Shinzo

Shinzo Powdered Sencha is made from the highest quality Sencha leaves finely ground down to produce a delicate tasting tea which can be brewed almost instantly. Although finely ground the leaves are not overly processed so are just as good for you as the more conventional loose leaf form. In fact most of the goodness in green tea leaves is retained in the leaf even after brewing, so some would argue that drinking the powdered tea is actually better for you.

This Powdered Japanese Sencha is perfect for drinking on the go or at work as all you need to do is add hot water to get perfect green tea which doesn’t over brew or ‘stew’ over time. It is also perfect for mixing into food such as ice cream or cake to give them a subtle hint of green tea flavour and a fantastically vibrant green colour.

It comes in a 50g box with a blue and golden design. The origin of the tea is listed as Kagoshima, Japan.

The thing I like about this tea is that it’s so quick to prepare. Just take some hot water in the morning, mix it with the powdered tea and you’re ready for a long day at work/school. I also sometimes prepare it the night before and then drink it chilled the next day. Can also be prepared with cold water directly, but I think it dissolves better with hot water (of course), so I prefer this.

It’s also great for bringing to places where you don’t have a teapot available. It comes in a pretty little cylindrical box with a pretty design, and also comes with a tiny little plastic spoon.
