I’m going to just use two words for this one.

Wow. Bitter.

p.s. I have to add a few more words. I’m horribly disappointed. This is one of the best smelling teas. Ever. My expectations were really high.

Hibiscus?

Sandy Stith

Just organic black tea and essential oil of lemon. I had to eat something to get rid of the lingering bitter taste in my mouth.

… I swear I liked your post before…. Steepster I’m so confused!

When you click the back button, even from looking at notices, it takes you back to the old page before you commented and liked. I think sometimes if you then click again it unlikes it, not sure on that, though.

Missy

I’ve seen steepster post tasting notes twice a LOT. So you may have clicked on one and liked and a new one has shown up. I have also seen notes I know for sure I liked and one I commented on losing that information as well.

Bummer Sandy – sorry.

Kittenna

@ashmanra & Missy – yeah, something like that probably happened. This is the first time I could really be sure though, because I had actually commented on the post, yet the little heart was white! So either I managed to click it twice (I think that does unlike posts??) or it showed up multiple times, or something. Sigh…

This tea is fairly good steeped at about three minutes. However, it is a very artificial, overpowering lemon. If you’re an Arnold Palmer drinker, you’d probably enjoy this (maybe). It’s really quite lemony.

Thanks to Sandy for sending this home with me :)

LOL that is my hubby’s vice – Arnold Palmer bought in giant jugs!

You’re welcome. =)

I am impressed with the lemon flavor, but I found it a little cloying. (Though maybe I made it a little too strong.)

This was the best lemon iced tea I’ve ever had. I normally don’t care for lemon flavored black teas, but this was just the right touch of lemon. The flavor was not fake or too strong. It was light and refreshing. The tea itself was not bitter. Very nice.

I steeped this as instructed: in 16 oz of boiling water, then adding another 16 oz of cold water and putting it in the fridge until chilled. It tasted very strongly of black tea with 32 oz of water, and the amount of lemon flavoring was perfect – not too much. It’s so strong though that next time I’m going to add at least another 8 oz of water before chilling.

I really enjoy this tea. The lemon isn’t to strong, but it’s strong enough. I put in just a little sugar and it’s perfect.

This was one of the most perfectly blended black-lemon iced teas I have ever tasted. I was very pleased that the lemon didn’t overwhelm the flavor of the black tea. I like my tea unsweetened, but you could definitely sweeten it without weakening the flavor.
