Jasmine Green Tea

My current favorite, affordable jasmine tea.

Jasmine, base tea doesn’t contribute much flavor, not astringent, thick mouthfeel. This tea is all about the jasmine.

Pleasant floral jasmine notes in a well-balanced cup. Jasmine flavor and scent feels like a good amount to accent the green tea.

Backlog. I was in Chicago over the weekend and ate at a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant—they served this (in bags!) and I was very impressed. The fragrance was strong, and while the taste didn’t quite match it was much better than I would have expected from a bag and from this price point. I thought several times that I must have oversteeped it but it never tasted burned. I resteeped once for two small pots out of one bag. The second pot was easily as good as the first and I got the feeling I could have gotten several more steeps out of it. I may have to get some of this, especially considering how easy to brew it was! I love jasmine teas but don’t drink them nearly enough.

well, i ran out of my favorite jasmine pearls, so in the meantime i picked up a tin of this at World Market – not quite as good as i was hoping, but definitely serviceable. as someone else noticed, this will give you your Jasmine Fix, if that’s what you need. Quite pleasant, and because it is so unobtrusive, will probably make a fabulous all-day-long tea.

This is a nice Jasmine Green tea. It has a pleasant sweet jasmine aroma, its probably a 6 out of 10 in terms of intensity. I like to use this tea for making Jasmine Rice and putting it in keemun black tea every now and than. Its good for relaxing. Its not the best jasmine I have bought but its organic and not expensive. Can’t go wrong if you like Jasmine scented teas.

A slightly sweet and vegetal green with a strong, but not overwhelming amount of jasmine. It’s not quite as immersive as I like my jasmine, and doesn’t quite live up to the ‘experience not a taste’ feeling that I get with some of my favorites.

Even so, I could see this as being a more inexpensive fix to my serious need-of-jasmine problem.

This was nice and soothing. I had it in France but I believe it came from West China.
