From Republic of Tea

Back In The Body Tea – The robust, malty character of this tea comes from pure, unblended Assam leaves grown in Northern India. Plentiful golden tips on leaves & hearty body qualify this tea at the top of its class.

Surprised this isn’t ranked higher. Maybe a straight Assam is just too “plain Jane” for some. I like it. A lot! This is an unblended, single-origin Tea, and its simple, malty goodness is exactly what I was hoping for. Just as with art, there’s no accounting for taste, and one opinion is as valid as the next. For me – this was a welcome cup!

Been a long time since I’ve had some—but I remember liking it a lot. It’s hard to mess up a straight-up Assam!

Maybe try Grace Rare Tea Irish Breakfast. Might be a real winner for you. If you want it, I can pick it up in Southern Season in a couple of weeks.

Comm Guy

I’ve never been there. I have to go to Chapel Hill again soon. Maybe we should check it out.

They don’t have nearly as much tea as they used to carry, but it is quite a fun store! It is in University Mall, and you really MUST also take your sweet wife to Night Gallery/Branching Out just a few shops down. You would both like it a lot! (I hope!)

Comm Guy

Maybe we’ll have time to check them out when we go on Tuesday.

I’m legit on a tea streak. Three cups and it’s just half past noon?! Ahh I love tea tons :)

This is just your usual black tea. Nothing too special.
I think I added too much sugar though, but it’s still pretty yummy!

Thank you tons to TeaNTees for sending this my way!

ALSO sorta pointless since I haven’t been on in forever and I’m sure none of you missed my pointless posts about life, buuuuut it was just publicly announced yesterday, I got the Lead position in my department! For those of you who forgot, I work at Disneyland and it’s tons of fun and I’ve been there for almost a year and a half now. I decided to apply for Lead aaaand they announced everyone yesterday. I’m quite chuffed :)

Fabulous! My daughter and her hubby are going to Disney Thursday through Sunday to meet up with her hubby’s dad and his gf who are visiting from Ireland, and just by coincidence, my son and his gf and gf’s mom are going the very same days – completely unplanned! Congrats on the promotion!

I’ve been steeping this for a second time the past few days. During this second steep I’ve been adding a bit of dried cocount to the leaf with some pleasing results. The coconut flavour doesn’t quite shine though but you do get a nice mouth feel from the coconut oil that blooms. I find I am enjoying it.
