From PureAromaTea

This deliciously smooth fruit yields very aromatic and delicate flavours, whilst remaining not overly sweet. China Congou is a naturally sweet, full-flavoured black tea with rich, complex flavour. The large, wiry leaf is visually attractive and has a rich, sweet aroma when dry. It brews to produce a golden, coppery liquor in the cup. It has good colour, strength and brightness, and a distinct floral fragrance. The flavours of Congou and Peach combine extremely successfully. This is a delicate, subtle brew where the Peach complements rather than overpowers the Congou. The result is a refreshing, light and luscious treat guaranteed to relax and unwind.

Woo! Sipdown 147!

It smells like peach! It tastes very similar to a peach drink too – a nice juicy without the buttloads of sugar you’d find if this was a canned beverage. The black base is present too, but it doesn’t really add or take anything away from the tea.

This reminds me of the peach version of DT’s Pom Tango though. Very bright and refreshing. Maybe someday I will place an order for PureAromaTea as this was good.

Thanks Sil!

as long as you like that “flavour” i’ve found nearly all their teas to be a good blend of tea + flavour. the straight teas have been really good too. as long as the price is comparable (which it is if i recall) then they’re a good option even coming across the ocean!

TeaLady441

Yeah those sample prices are very cheap, and judging from the bags you sent me, they look like they had a few cups in them too!

I’ll see how I feel after I try the other PureAroma sample you sent. And then I’ll wait a bit more because… hiatus!

Sil

they’re 25g samples so you get anywhere from 3-7 normal ppl sized cups? samples were more than enough for kittenna and i to share and even on the one we split 3 ways we had 1-3 cups free shipping at less than 50$ too

TeaLady441

Awesome! :) I think it’s under $30 for free shipping.

Sil

30 pounds – so there’s a conversion factor. But i’d order from them again (ie join order) they’re a step up from a lot of places, though now knock your socks off omg i must have this before i die OMG!! :)

TeaLady441

I’m sure we could arrange some kind of joint order.
And it’s “Free delivery for orders over $30.91” if you click on the US currency flag. :)

OMGsrsly

I’m interested! I keep looking at their website…

OMGsrsly

Although maybe we’ll have to do a West Coast and and East Coast order. :)

Sil

omg..they have some good stuff…. i’ve tried a BUNCH of them!

This might be one of my favourite peach teas yet. Mostly because its paired with a black base, and much like purearomas description says, it blends with the base rather than becoming one of those overpowering “peach” teas that tastes a lot like peach juice. Not that I personally mind peach juice but sometimes I want tea….not juice. :) this is almost too sweet for me without any additives so I imagine this would make a really nice cold brew. It’s something ill have to try one of these days. Overall I really like how subtle this is, without losing itself. It’s also nice to have a peach black instead of a peach green. Purearoma, you do great things with tea!

TeaLady441

I’ll definitely check them out. In a few months.

Sil

sooner than that :) I’ll add some to your package!

TeaLady441

Haha. You’re spoiling me! (Thanks)

The dry blend smells strongly of a peach flavor and black tea. The tea tastes like a moderately flavoured peach tea with a bold black base. It reminds me of peach drink from Tim Horton’s. Mmmmmm. Very refreshing. I think it would make a great iced tea. Thanks Sil for this.

Edit: Did a cold brew for about 8 hours. It was just as delicious as the hot brew.

I don’t always do well with fruit flavored black teas. I quite often find they are too much tea not enough fruit. I hot steeped this one, tried a couple of sips hot, and knew I had found a winner. I quit drinking it, made a second steep, combined it all together and put it in the fridge to cool. I’m drinking it now cold. AWESOME. Great peach flavor, nice black tea in the background (right where I think it belongs). I’m not getting any bitter or astringency. This is really really nice.

Thanks Hallieod for this sample. You hit another winner for me.

purearoma is win!
