From Palais des Thés

Native to South Africa, the Aspalathus linearis, or Rooibos bush as it is commonly known, is a different plant from the tea plant, which gives a pleasant beverage with no caffeine and almost no tannin.
Windhuk is a delicious red tea, delicately scented with vanilla.

ALMOST finished infusing. I hate to say it but it’s UNimpressive thus far – not much to look at or smell.

I will give credit where credit is due – the color – post-infusion is beautiful. It’s like a copper color or brandy-type color. Very nice.

The flavor isn’t very impressive either. It’s not bad but not memorable in any way either. It’s your stereotypical rooibos. I can’t taste much else.

Sipdown!
I believe this was from the travelling tea box! It’s not a bad rooibos, but it’s not good per say either. There’s a vanilla taste to this that is present, but it’s not particularly strong. This comes across as more like lightly flavoured water than anything much else.

Had the opportunity to taste this one in a salon de thé.
The vanilla taste mix well with the honey taste of the rooibos.
I’m looking forward steeping it…
