2008 Nan Jian 902 Certified Organic Raw
Nan Jian (Tulin) raw pu’er comes from certified organic Wuliang Mountain material pressed in 2008. The cake’s compression is tight and the leaves are of mixed integrity – some whole and some broken.
This is potent tea. Sweetness balances with astringency and nice cooling throat effect in early infusions. The cup becomes peppery later and the sweetness intensifies. We prefer easing into this potent sheng with very fast, 10 second infusions, then two 15 second, then two 20 second, etc.
