“Big Red Robe”

This is a famous type of oolong which grows in the beautiful Chinese mountains. The Wuyi Mountains are legendary place which considered to be the land of immortal spirits. According to the legend, this tea was named Da Hong Pao in the XV century. The official Ding Xin adored the tea taste and regarded the tea bushes with Great Emperor Red Robe. Da Hong Pao is produced according to the classical Wuyi strong fermentation technology by long lasting roasting on the open fire. The brewed tea has a rich honey flavor which reminds the old wine aroma. The aroma is intense and a bit hot, it transforms with many nuances and flourishes with a smooth spicy aftertaste. The infusion color changes from dark-peach color to amber-red. Those who love bitterness inside the sweetness would especially like this tea.
