From Matcha Outlet

From the castles of 18th century French royalty, comes the delightfully delicious Bavarian cream. This vanilla flavored treat also makes an excellent accompaniment to many other desert favorites like fruits, nuts or even coffee. It is also wonderful with chocolate and many other coatings and fillings for cakes. Its warm and creamy taste refreshes the taste of any great tasting treat making it an easy choice for all family members. The very young energetic ones would love its well known and loved vanilla essence in the mouth while the senior citizens would adore the way it melts in the mouth. It is the palate’s dream come true.

Although it can be easily confused for vanilla custard because of the similarity in taste, Bavarian cream can hold its own among an assortment of favorite deserts or snacks. It can be taken as a mid mid morning energizer, mid afternoon rejuvenater or early evening aperitif.

Company formerly known as Red Leaf Tea.

I had this one yesterday afternoon but I didn’t have a chance to review it. This one is has less of a flavor in comparison to the others I have tried (Caramel, Caramel Popcorn). This one tastes creamy and vanilla, it reminds me a bit of the vanilla protein powder I have but with a green tea bitterness. I had to add a little sugar to help flavor this one. Very tasty but not my favorite of theirs (because the rest are AMAZING.)

Thank you so much Courtney for sharing some of your precious Bavarian Cream with me!

This is one of my favorite matcha flavors now. Really good and creamy and vanilla-y :D

It has been a really long time since I actually ate anything filled with Bavarian cream, but it seems pretty spot-on flavor wise!

Courtney

I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

I just ordered this one! Now I’m really excited to try it.

Thank you Courtney for the sample! I love getting to try new matcha flavours so it was a pleasant surprise. I also liked being able to try it before placing my matcha order (which I put in tonight: 30g of Bananas & Cream, Cheesecake, Coconut, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberries & Cream, and Tiramisu).

I had this in the morning for breakfast and I have to say… Not so impressed.

It was prepared in cold milk but I didn’t really get much of any kind of flavour from it: just maybe a faint touch of creaminess? But it was weak and left me wanting so much more from it. Not my cuppa tea at all…

But still thankful I got to try it! Maybe I’ll double the dose next cup…

The weird thing is, I have found many people, including myself, don’t taste anything in the first cup but the flavor comes out in subsequent glasses.

Roswell Strange

I’ll keep that in mind.

Courtney

Bleh. I’m happy to see Coconut made it into your order though. :)

Definitely picking up on the creamy lemon in this one. I picked it up, along with the cookies and cream while it was on sale. I doubled up on this one, since it got higher ratings, so it’s still the default, delicate flavoring with standard [green] matcha base. I wanted to really like this one, but not matter how much I tried, I get too much of an astringent, floral note that isn’t too pleasant too me, almost like soap. This matcha, however, is by no means undrinkable. I use it iced now, by mixing with a bottle of water., and take it to work. In my opinion, it is even better with a lemon or lime wedge inside, which makes the lemon overtones taste more like lemon to me. I’ve also tried it hot, with .5 tsp per 8oz hot water, slightly lower than boiling. I’ve tried various ratios of filtered to distilled water, as well as varying amounts of cream or milk, and even some sugar. I think cream or milk makes it taste a bit better, at least hot, by bringing out the richness and creaminess. Part of my problem may very well be that the matcha base has a bit of a floral astringency to me. Perhaps I should try this as a latte though, perhaps for breakfast or dessert. Usually I don’t have sweet drinks.

Hello all, I am writing this review for Bavarian cream match from Red Leaf Tea. Flavor:Delicate and Organic
http://www.redleaftea.com/matcha-tea/bavarian-cream-matcha.html
I must admit, I’ve always had a bit of a sweet tooth, but lately I’ve been trying to make some changes around the house to be more on the healthy side. I love matcha tea because it’s healthy and it usually quenches my thirst for sweets. This company seemed like a dream come true with all the myriad flavors of sweets that I normally choose to indulge in. This flavor caught my eye as I have had it before. Opening up the package the smell hit me like a freight train hahaha. I could almost just buy it for the smell. I’d had experience making matcha before; so my first preparation was with a traditional chanoyu set. I was surprised to find that the flavor of Bavarian cream was quite weak; much more so than the smell. I absolutely sure my technique was right, so that couldn’t have been it. I’m seriously considering buying more from this company, but next time I’ll get a stronger concentration of flavor rather than matcha. I really look forward to trying another flavor and possibly with the oolong or white matcha. I also want to try out one of the more medicinal types of matcha such as ginseng or ashwagandha possibly. Either way, having an array of so many amazing and nostalgic flavors while getting the great health benefits of matcha sounds like a match made in heaven.
