Lucky blue tea
Notes of clover flowers – Jardin Premier*

This wonderful blue tea with a joyful scent of clover flower proudly displays the number 168 which brings happiness and eternal prosperity in the country where the tea was born.

Soft and fragrant, crisp notes of clover blossom illuminate this extraordinary blue tea whose splendid infusion is coloured with shades of indigo as inspiring as a clear sky.
Founded on the 1st of June 1854, MARIAGE FRÈRES has always maintained privileged relations with tea growers in China for whom the number 168 brings luck and eternal prosperity. To celebrate this 168th anniversary, MARIAGE FRÈRES has created LUCKY TEA 168, a tip of the hat to the land where tea originated.
Its green bottle – the colour of hope – proudly displays its lucky number crowned with a four-leaf clover, happily multiplying the chances of a better life!

Mariage Frères Advent Calendar 2022 – Day 6

Oh, interesting! This green oolong also steeps up greenish-blue (I think MF was going for Indigo), but otherwise only seems to have a minimalist addition: clover flowers. The result is a silky, grassy balm of a tea, with sweet pea-meets-honeysuckle floral notes. I like it and I’m going to see how many times I can resteep it once I’m done this pot.

Steep Count: 3 pots and I probably could’ve kept going, but so many teas.

On another note – I’d probably be a little exasperated by this advent’s current lack of flavoured black tea offerings if it wasn’t for the Dammann Frères advent ONLY offering flavoured black teas so far; it all balances out (and I love oolong).

Flavors: Alfalfa, Butter, Clover, Floral, Garden Peas, Grassy, Honeysuckle, Mineral, Silky, Smooth, Sweet, Warm Grass, Vegetal
