An assam tea directly from South India infused with chai spices gives this tea a more traditional feel. The aroma is both sweet and the fennel and star anise (aka black licorice smell) is also present.
When brewed, the fennel is mixed with the cloves and cinnamon to product a more malty flavor with spice notes.
