From Lupicia

Using fruity-taste Ceylon tea as its base, Assam tea containing lots of golden tips is blended. Enjoy this with a little milk.

Drinking another cup of this now… and I’m actually really enjoying it. Sweet, light, hay-y flavour, with absolutely ZERO astringency, yet plenty of body. Bumping the rating; I’m very pleasantly surprised. Kind of glad I have a bunch of this around now; it will be a perfect travel mug tea.

Kittenna

Yes, OBVIOUSLY. Hahahahahaa. Also, I’m quite thankful for the user URLs not changing when names change, otherwise I wouldn’t have a clue who you were! So many people changed names while I was gone.

OMGsrsly

Oh Kittenna, you can change the url as well. :)

Kittenna

Oh yes, I know. I did that for mine, when I changed my name long ago. However, most people don’t do that :D I like that it doesn’t auto-change.

I forgot that i’d had this one this morning so that i could pass the rest on to my parents. This is a pretty good morning black. There’s a lightness to it without losing any of it’s strength and it tastes delicious with a splash of milk :)

Thanks for this sample Sil!

I was anticipating this to be a typical somewhat astringent, bitter but bold breakfast blend. But it was actually quite smooth. No bitterness or astringency. I would say it was medium boldness but I also did not steep for too long. There is a bit of a natural wood-sy taste to it. The liquor is slightly sweet, its thick and creamy. Lupicia recommends to add milk, I can see why that would taste really good, but I am actually liking this one straight. Surprising since I don’t usually like breakfast blends. But I guess this is not a breakfast blend, it is an English blend!

Edit: Made this as a cold brew as well. Brewed for about 8 hours. Its not as good as a cold brew. Some bitterness and much more of a strange floral flavour.

Aromatic and robust, perfect for Sunday morning. The fruitiness of the Ceylon base dominates the cup. It’s slightly sweet and there’s no bitterness at all. This is one of the few non-flavoured teas that can earn a high rating from me. :)

A tea from my Lucky Bag.

I’m not a huge fan of unflavored black tea, preferring greens in general, but this is pretty darn good. I never found a need to add milk to cut any bitterness; I did try it once and it just adds a little creaminess to a sip. The aroma of this tea is sweet and fruity, and that sweetness transforms into a honey taste when I drink. I never found a need to add extra sweetness to this.

I got a sample of this in a swap package from ToiToi. It’s a nice basic English Breakfast-style tea. It’s very smooth and quite sweet, with fairly strong honey notes. I wouldn’t buy it – I found it comparable to Twinings EB, which is much less expensive – but it’s a nice, straightforward morning choice.

This is a light naturally sweet tea. You can brew it longer or add more tea leaves than normal.
