Thanks for the sample yssah! I think my milk oolong got infected with cherry flavoring from another sample tea. When I opened my swap package everything was SO CHERRY smelling. So far none of the ones I have tasted have seemed infected but I am definitely getting a cherry note from this oolong. It is tasty though! :)

yssah

Sorry about that..still in the process of getting better packaging ^^’

Stephanie

No probs! Still happy to try them :D

Starfevre

A cherry flavoured milk oolong actually sounds pretty good.

yssah

For the record, this is my first ever milk oolong. And I am not (yet) a fan of green tea (coz it easily gets bitter when I steep it) or the vegetal taste (tho I like matcha and jasmine tea).

BUT this…tastes a bit vegetal..and it is buttery….oh so buttery! From the scent it exudes upon steeping up to the nth steep that I was able to squeeze out of it. I love it so! I imagine I can be happy drinking this for days on end.

Bonnie

Try a lower temp when you steep your green tea, might help…often the suggested steep time is too long also.

yssah

thanks Bonnie! i really wonder why they do that..(give longer steeping times than is needed) :S

This is an amazing milk oolong, it’s a little bit less creamy than the quangzhou milk oolong from DAVIDsTEA, but, it has a somewhat better quality I can’t describe very well to it. It’s smooth and silky to drink and resteeps for many cups of delicious tea. Thank you very much to Yssah for sharing this with me!

Tried this one on my lunch break. It was very good. It had just enough fruity sweetness and creaminess. It had only the smallest hint of fresh florals, which I like, but not something I want to be prominent in a milk oolong (as far as the one’s I’ve tasted go). It was also very faint vegetal notes. This is pretty close to the perfect balance of flavors for me.
