After I opened this tin, Prince Vladimir soon became one of my favorites. The tea smells like Coca-Cola, slightly spicy with those hits of orange and vanilla. I love to steep this tea the Russian way, with some jam mixed in. I always drink this tea hot or warm as I think it’s flavors are most pronounced this way.
Here is my Blackberry-Mandarin Orange Jam recipe that pairs perfectly with Prince Vladimir:

I gave it away after trying, what else is there to say? Hm, maybe out of fairness: The friend I gave it to seems to really like it!
For me it’s just too soapy. If I want an Earl Grey, I’ll just have an Earl Grey.

I’m almost finished with my second full-sized tin of this tea. It is our week-end afternoon go-to brew. It has a nice citrus-y, grapefruit-y taste with a hint of vanilla. I think it’s perfection with just a drop of honey. The husband finds that revolting and probably too much like Squirt. Hey I like Squirt. I bought a bunch of tins of Kusmi about five years ago, mostly based on how pretty the packaging was. I was not blown away by any of the teas, really, but this one. You have to be careful not to steep it too long or it will taste like perfume or floor polish.

Second Russian Blend brought down by my friends from NYC.

Brewed with no additions, I smell spice then citrus. Taste is the other way around, more citrus but milder spice.

This tea smells absolutely heavenly. A wonderful aroma of light fruit and delicate flowers with a touch of sweet vanilla. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, I’ve been unable to brew a cup with any real flavor. The best I can say about it is that it’s smooth and easy drinking, but I’m basically just saying it’s flavorless. I’ve enjoyed Kusmi teas in the past, but this is definitely a disappointment, especially for the price.

The more I drink this tea the more I like it. We have this french vanilla creamer at work, and with that and a little sugar, drinking this tea is exactly like eating a gingerbread cookie. <333

I was very intrigued by this tea because of the nature of this blend (Russian, of course) and because of the tin box.
A very fragrant and tasty tea, to be enjoyed any time of the day.
The best part of this tea is that, if you focus on one of the main flavours of the blend, you are able to taste each and every one of them.
I drink it sweet, with no milk or lemon. I tried it once with milk, and it wasn’t that bad. Still, I do prefer it plain and sweet.

I loved all Kusmi teas I have tasted, but this one is my favourite. The taste of vanilla is perfectly balanced and it’s just enough sweet.

Lovely aroma when dry and lots of nice pieces of peal in the tea – when brewed I think it is a little too laid back – drunk hot the tea itself is good but the spice, especially the vanilla, is much less prevalent than the aroma suggests…

As iced tea more a little more spice comes through

In no way a bad drink but the description, packaging and dry aroma promised so much more [oh well that just sounds like the human condition]
