Oriental Beauty Oolong Tea (Eastern Beauty, Dong Fang Mei Ren, Bai Hao, Formosa White Tip, Champagne Oolong) is the legendary Formosa tea with many names and stories. It is a fairly oxidized (60%) Oolong grown in the county of Hsin Chu in northern Taiwan with the qualities of both Oolong and black tea. The tea leaves are spiked with small white tips. It is gaining popularity for its unique aroma and flavor. This Oolong has a fruity aroma with a maple-sweet, mellow and smooth taste. It produces a golden brown brew.
This tea is also great for making cold brew. Add 1/4 oz. (7 g) of tea leaves to 4 cups (900 ml) of water in a covered container and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. Remove the tea leaves and enjoy.
