sipdown! (184) another quick sipdown tonight while watching fringe. Decent enough, but not worthy of a restock! thanks dexter!

Hmmm. Still not crazy about this one. Maybe I over-steeped it? The base feels a bit off tonight.

So this is a pretty mellow cup of minty tea. It has a touch of creaminess but I wouldn’t exactly call it “irish cream”. Really it is not bad but whenever I have sweet minty teas such as this, I can’t help but compare it to others I have had (Anti V-Day Treat and Santa’s Secret immediately come to mind) and it just does not have as much of an appeal. I am glad I got to try it though so thank you Cavocorax for sharing. I have enough for one more cup and I am sure I will enjoy it but this is not something I will miss when it is gone.

I find mint much more palatable with some sort of creaminess.

Uh, this is probably my least favorite of the bunch so far. I was hoping for Bailey’s minty awesomeness. I’m getting a hint of Bailey’s after sweetening it with some Truvia, and that’s it. Zero mint. Strong, bitter base. Will try for a 2 min steep next time.

Aww too bad. That name should never be stuck in a name without delivering.

Agreed. So much meh. I remember this horror: http://steepster.com/clareborn/posts/196723

This sample was given to me by the incredibly lovely Missb! Thank you so much, it really means a lot to me :)

I can honestly say I’ve never had Baileys before. I’m just not an alcohol person. I do know what Irish cream tastes like however and I do seem to be getting it slightly in this tea. Unfortunately the tea falls flat however…I’m not getting any mint at all. I’m not really getting much of anything, actually – just the faint Irish cream taste and a little bit of sweet from the Stevia I added.

I got this from QueenOfTarts Tea Stash Sale. Thank you!

I read the reviews of this and I was a little nervous. The idea of the tea sounds amazing, a mostly guilt free substitute for hot coco and baileys. I made this the same way I would make a chai, tad more leaf to water and an ounce or so of milk with sugar. The result was a a creamy chocolate mint treat. I will have no problems finishing this sample, but not something I would purchase again.

BOOOO! I join the hordes of people who say “nay” to this one. How on earth can something called Bailey’s anything be so bad? I did read some of the reviews prior to fixing this pot the way I like (with raw sugar and creamer) and I am thankful I did so. A few tentative sips was all I could manage. Yes, it is bitter! and not much minty. Maybe Bailey’s is not really THE Bailey’s we are all thinking of but some play on words or something.

Anyway, thank you to Dexter3657 who was probably spared tasting this one since she hates mint. No worries, you didn’t miss a thing!
