From Harney & Sons

Another new version of our most popular tea, this version is caffeine free. The three types of cinnamon are added to African Rooibos, making a delicious herbal drink. Herbal Hot Cinnamon is a good choice for those who want give up caffeine, but not strong flavors!

I ordered a 50 count sachet with my Harney order, remembering how much I enjoyed the Hot Cinnamon Spice sample I received last year. I read the reviews saying how similar the herbal version tasted.

I opened the bag and loved the cinnamon smell. There was so much cinnamon, it was all over the inside of the bag. I steeped it for 5 minutes as suggested on the packaging and sweetened it with honey. It was very good. I don’t recall the black tea version tasting this strongly of cinnamon, but I still like it. And being herbal it is a bit better for me. But this is definitely not a good tea for the upcoming summer season.

Mastress Alita’s sipdown challenge – October Tea #2-A cinnamon tea

Yes, I DID just write another note for this tea but this is the ULTIMATE cinnamon tea, fit for this prompt. With my limited selection of teas with me, I’m already drinking it again. It will never get old. I always want to chug it. So glad I bought a tin for the start of cold weather. 70 degrees tomorrow though!

gmathis

This one is a favorite with my slightly less tea-sophisticated coworkers and stays in stock next to the kettle.

I can see this tea as a crowd pleaser!

Just as good as the regular. I bought this for a nighttime alternative to the black tea version. It’s just as great. But I love rooibos tea. Though you MUST use a fine mesh steeper or be prepared for tea bits!

sweet with honey flavor and strong cinnamon flavor that isn’t overpowering. Can def get grassy notes from the rooibos.

Hot Cinnamon Spice may be my favorite tea, but since I tend to overindulge I’m trying out Herbal Hot Cinnamon Spice. I think I actually prefer this herbal variety over the original and, as a bonus, it won’t keep me up all night.

I gave the black tea version of this an 88 a number of years ago, which makes me want to try it again because this herbal version is awesome.

I have to be in the mood for cinnamon, but I was in that mood today. The smell out of the tin is spicy, sweet, cinnamon. Very candy like.

That aspect carries through the aroma and taste of the steeped tea. It’s like drinking liquid candy, which, when one is on a portion controlled and calorie restricted diet, is rather like nirvana.

The best part is, the candy isn’t nearly as hot as red hots, but just as sweet. It’s like someone took the hottest aspect of red hots and removed it, leaving a strong cinnamon flavor that is very candy like but doesn’t hurt the membranes in your mouth.

I wish I was in the mood for cinnamon more than I am. If this was something I’m often in the mood for, such as, oh say, chocolate, and I had this same reaction, this would rate a hundred.

I have tried the black and green versions but nit the herbal. Maybe it is time.

I haven’t tried the green. There are so few flavored greens I truly like.

Herbal and Decaf TTB.

This tastes almost exactly like Bengal Spice from Celestial Seasonings, but with the addition of rooibos, which makes it not as good. I’m a little surprised by how many of Celestial Seasoning’s teas I prefer to similar teas by other companies. I don’t like their whole lineup, but the ones I like, I really like.

While I looooved the Pumpkin Spice from Harney, the Herbal Hot Cinnamon Spice was not my thing. It tasted almost like liquid fireballs.. like the candy. It’s very sweet and that helps counteract the spicy heat from the cinnamon but it’s just not my thing.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Sugar, Sweet

This sounds like it might be similar to Celestial Seasonings’ Bengal Spice, which I really like. I’ll have to check it out eventually.

If I still have it when the Herbal TTB gets around to me, I’ll throw it in the box for you!

rosebudmelissa

That would be great! Thanks!

No problem!

The was a welcome addition to a cold Friday evening. It reminds me a little of DavidsTea Cinnamon Roobois, but this was a much better price and had a stronger flavor. I mean I smells intense, and it really is all about the cinnamon, if you’re ok with that then this a great tea. It tastes sweet without the addition of sugar or honey due to the massive cinnamon flavor! Ths is a win for me! Not something I wouod drink every night, but I’d like to have it on hand!

Hello red hots :)

I love this. But let’s be honest – the rooibos is here for show. There is just sweet spicy cinnamon flavor and basically nothing else. Which is fine with me.
