From Harney & Sons

Mike Harney has enjoyed many a pot of tea in the famous Parisian tea shops. In homage to the city, he created what’s become one of Harney & Sons’ most popular and beloved blends worldwide. Paris is a fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony Bergamot. The aroma is delightful!

Ingredients:
Black tea, oolong tea, black currant flavor, vanilla flavor, bergamot oil, caramel flavor.

Rich vanilla flavor.

But I don’t like it because of the artificial vanilla.

Mmm, macarons. That’s what this tea smells like. The taste isn’t far off, either. I love this tea, and I never ever want to run out of it. Mostly, I like how this is very dessert-y but still tastes like black tea. My preferred additions are almond milk and sugar.

Can anyone compare the taste of the sachets vs. the teabags? I’m considering trying the bagged version for everyday use since it’s cheaper.

This is one of my go-to favorites whenever I order from Harney and Sons. I am a big fan of earl grey, and Paris is just enough of something else to break up the monotony of drinking regular EG all the time.

For me, the smell of the unbrewed tea is intoxicating. Sweet and fruity. The brew itself retains the flowery, fruity scent but brings in a more earthy flavor with a citrus deep in there – perhaps bergamot or something similar but faint and not overpowering.

This tea is equally good with milk and sugar or without (though I prefer it creamy and sweet). Better brewed quickly to avoid bitterness in my experience, though.

This is my favorite black tea so far. I love how vanilla blends with white and black tea. I really recommend it.

Tea of the morning, without milk for once. I don’t think I’ve been fair to this without milk before. With milk it’s more caramel-y, but without it’s a deep, fruity, jammy thing. For some reason I’m really feeling purple today: purple nails, purple sweater, purple tea (or the tin, at least!)… Not sure what it means for now, but I am enjoying this cup.

This tea took a little while to grow on me, but now it’s one of my favorites. Trying to find a place near me that sells it since I moved across the country.

I had received a pyramid bag of this as a sample with my order. I was pleasantly surprised with this tea. It smelled wonderful when steeping, and tasted even better. I don’t normally like flavored teas, but the flavor is very subtle and complements rather than overpowers the black tea. It’s very reminiscent of Earl Grey, because of the bergamont, but with fruity undertones. Very very nice. I’ll be buying a tin of this for sure.

Thanks for the sample, Harney & Sons. You made a sale!
