Berries and Chocolate – What’s Not to Love?
You have been waiting patiently, and we are happy to give you our first chocolate strawberry tea blend. The chocolate comes from the rich and robust pu-erh with both natural and artificial chocolate flavors. We then add strawberry, until it is snozz-full. This blend also contains a bit of apple, mango, hibiscus, and rose hips to add depth to the flavor profile.

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! –Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

While we may not know exactly what snozzberries taste like, we can certainly tell you that our ChocoSnozzBerry tea blend tastes like a decadent cup of strawberries swimming in liquid chocolate!

Here at Happy Turtle Tea, we personally love Pu-erh tea. These are some of the richest and most full-bodied varieties of tea available. Every region has different flavors associated and the amount of time it is spent aging adds to its complexity. This ‘dark tea’ is strong, and can have a bitter taste that grows even more bitter if you brew it too long, so be sure to control your water temperature and brewing time. If your tea tastes like a cup full of dirt, pour it out and start over! For those willing to brave the world of pu-erh, we are continually awed by the varieties and richness that pu-erh brings to our tea blends, so it is well worth the risk. Plus, this Chocolate Strawberry Tea is worth the effort!

Try adding a bit of sugar to really bring out the chocolate flavor in this blend! Pu-erh also stands up well to multiple steepings, so don’t throw those leaves away after your first cup!

This was really different from what I expected, but I enjoyed it a lot!

I felt like it was going to be very chocolate forward with hints of berry but instead it was super sweet with syrupy notes of candied strawberries and grenadine. Felt like a cocktail syrup in tea form! I didn’t really get much chocolate at all, so I’m a bit confused by the name!? However, I loved the tea and now that I know what to expect from it I’m really looking forward to finishing off the sample.

Thanks VariaTEA for gifting the subscription that this super fun Wonka inspired blend came from!
