From Happy Earth Tea

Among our favorites, this tea is fragrant with a pleasant briskness that is balanced by sweet floral-fruity notes. It enlivens in a deep subtle kind of way.

DRY TEA: Small and wiry, tippy, well rolled dark green leaves. The fragrance of the leaf carries the freshness of the entire spring.

INFUSION: Bright lime and pale green. The nose (fragrance exuded by the infused leaf, also termed as aroma, bouquet) is deeply fruity.

CUP: A clear golden- amber liquor with sweet fruity notes and a well balanced astringency. It is very refreshing with lingering sweet aftertaste.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Use a teaspoon of tea for a cup . Steep in freshly boiled water for 3 minutes. Strain before drinking.

Springy! With hints of herbally-spice, lime, sweet basil and/or Tulsi-type taste-almost, and springy-floral-earthy-sweet! This is nice! A Sunny way to start the day! A delight!

This marks my second first flush of the new year. And, wow, what a cup. This had all the trappings of a Darjeeling first flush, but with the added burden of a tannic mouthfeel on the finish. It was all spices, grapes, and greenery the way through. The character was more in line with a Darjeeling oolong than a normal OP. Simply superb.
