From Great British Tea Store

This sublime Oolong tea from Taiwan has been used to recreate a Victorian favourite. In Victorian England Orange blossoms came to symbolize love and marriage and they were particularly popular in wedding bouquets, so much so they were imported all the way from Florida to be used. Orange blossoms aren’t as easy to come by these days but their flavour in this tea has been recreated using jasmine and dried orange pieces. To add some depth to the tea a black tea from Ceylon has also been thrown into the mix. So why not brew a cup today and fall in love!

This tea is so confusing! From the name, I thought it was a straight-up oolong, but reading the ingredients I found out that there is black tea and green tea in here as well. I’ve never had such a mix of bases! And how in the world are you supposed to steep it? The label says to use boiling water, but I was sure I’d end up with a nasty, bitter brew doing it that way. I went for 180 degrees for 3 minutes and it still came out slightly bitter, but it’s drinkable. I’m not getting much orange at all, just a lot of jasmine floral and a bit of a grassy vegetal flavor. Very odd!
