From Great British Tea Store

Taiwanese tea growers have perfected the art of producing spectacular Oolong tea and nowhere more so than in the Fomosa region, so naturally that is where our Oolong was sourced. This Formosa Oolong has been long-fired to give it a smooth, baked flavor with hints of sweetness. It will produce a rich amber cup and a wonderully distinctive aroma.

This Oolong is named after John Dodd, a scottish merchant who introduced tea seedlings to the Formosa region in the 19th century, established his own processing factory then distributed high quality Formosan Oolong to the world.

This is different from any other oolong I’ve tried so far. It has a very warm, slightly nutty flavor that reminds me of a good loaf of whole wheat bread. It’s not my normal cup of tea, but I quite enjoyed it!

This is tasty, and definitely does have a bakery toasty aspect to it. It steeped well twice, but the third steep was pretty weak. I will happily drink this should I ever come upon it again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it.
