From Shadowfall ’s tea sale a while back. Thank you again!

Funny how hot, I got just a hint of chocolate out of this, however cooled it all deep chocolate goodness. Overleafed slightly just because of the odd cup size (12 oz).

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea to try.

I can’t say that I’m as excited by this tea as she was, but it is good. I guess I’ve just become spoiled with teas like the Chocolate “O” from The Tea Spot and Double Chocolate Decadence from 52Teas … and I think that the black tea base provides a much better base for chocolate-y flavors than does rooibos. This tastes too much like rooibos to satisfy the chocoholic in me.

That’s not to say it’s not good, it is… I just want more chocolate.

It smelled very rich and chocolate-y when I opened the pouch, and it does taste chocolate-y too, but I also taste the rooibos and I guess that’s sort of what’s making me less than excited about it. It’s good … not great, but good.

LiberTEAS

I will say this, as I continue to sip … the chocolate-y notes become stronger, and I taste less rooibos. So, things are looking up!

Nik

I might have to try this one. Even if the black tea works as a better base for a chocolate tea, my inability to tolerate caffeine means this blend will work much better for me. (Plus rooibos is my favourite.)

LiberTEAS

Yeah I think my main hold up on this tisane is that I’m not really fond of rooibos. It’s OK, and I like that it’s naturally caffeine free, but, I just would rather have tea than rooibos. :)

Oh.My.Gawd. Seriously…the scent alone…I WANT TO SWIM IN THIS! :)
One of my favorite Soy Milks is a Chocolate Peppermint Stick type that is only available seasonally…well…this is DARNED close to a scent double!

This is CRAZY Dark Brown in color! Intensely scented. Oh-My-Oh-My! Can’t wait to try this…infusion…don’t take much longer…

This is Chocolatey-Minty-Marvel in a cup! It’s not a milky-smooth chocolate altho it might be if you were to add milk or creamer…but it’s just enough chocolate to say HELLO…chocolate…Nice To See You Again! The minty is lovely! It’s smooth and it kind of reminds me of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream which happens to be my fave! :P

Oh yes! This is very nice! Ahhhhhh! Refreshing AND chocolate and smooth and MINT.

Hubby gave this a go last night and I asked how he liked it.. thumbs up was the response I got. He steeped at a lower temperature than I did previously, I will have to do the same and see if I get the same reaction since my first try was mostly rooibos.

This is nice. I had just enough for one mug of it, and tonight was the night. I hate drinking boiling hot teas, so I let this one sit some to cool, and wow, it is perfect. It’s nice and chocolaty. it’s not something I would want all the time, but on occasion, this would be a nice treat.

I decided to add some milk to see if that would make it more like a hot chocolate, since it’s really chocolate, but I’ve decided that it was better without. Ah well.
