I really can’t rate this one for now… upon smelling the wet leaf and the tea I could not place the aroma, then it reminded me: OMG! Indian food! To me this smells exactly like a curry dish. I even had to check to see that there was no turmeric in this. A bit of sweetener was a must but I still feel like I should be dipping a samosa into this.

I tried a bit of the wet steeped fruit in my blend and there must be something spicy in this besides ginger, maybe even cayenne pepper? Wow. I generally like spicy herbal teas but this is potent! I did not overdo it with the leaf but perhaps next time I will try slightly less?

I will check back soon with the Steepster crowd to make sure I am not losing my mind….

I had tried this one quite some time ago, and had promised that I would re-visit it, since I thought I had messed by adding too much honey. I am now sipping this, and my opinion has not changed.

I didn’t add honey. Just a teaspoon of white sugar. I am not very fond of this one. I am getting ginger and something else, but not cookie. Has kind of a funky taste. I like sweets, but this one is not for me.

My thanks to Dexter3657 for letting me sample this one, and opening my horizons to new experiences! If you don’t try, then you don’t know what suits your liking.

I got just enough of this to make a large pot from TeaEqualsBliss. Thanks! It makes a nice after dinner cup with a bit of sugar and a splash of almond milk. If you’re like me, you could add a drop of cream liquor as well. ;)

I can’t say it particularly reminds me of gingersnap cookies, but I did eat a gingersnap cookie with me tea so perhaps the tea was just pale in comparison to the real thing. It does have a luscious buttery smell. The rooibos is smooth and sweet.

Yummy! I’m on my second cup of this!

The first cup, I drank straight. With the second cup, I was a little more adventurous and added a little milk and sugar… and the tisane really come to life. It was delicious straight, even better with milk and sugar. YUMYUMYUMMMMMMMMY!

Ever have one of the roller coaster – OMG the sky is falling, the world is ending kind of days. That was me from 5PM yesterday until about 8 PM tonight. All is well that ends well, but I don’t like those days. Anyway, now that all is right in my world again, I’ve decided that I didn’t drink enough tea today. Feel like I’m suffering from withdrawal. It’s late, so I chose a rooibos.
First off, I just want to send a sincere apology to everyone I sent a sample of this to. (I need to stop sharing teas I haven’t tried yet.)
This tea (to me anyway) tastes like powdered ginger. All I’m getting is ginger, and not fresh nice ginger. Icky powdered ginger. No cookies, no rooibos,no nuts, just overwhelming, drown out everything else ginger. :((

Horrible that you had a nasty tea finishing off your rotten day! Hope today is lots better!

I had this tea last night because I knew I was getting my Adagio shipment in the next day. I had ordered almost all their rooibos and honeybush samples, so I figured this tea was getting pretty stale and better to use it up before the exciting new ones come in.

Well, I can only guess the tea I had was this one… I purchased a 1 oz. pouch of this from a nearby new age store. After some investigating online, however, I’m almost positive it’s this tea.

Stories aside, I don’t really know what to make of it. The first several sips were amazing. It tastes exactly like what it says – a warm, nutty gingersnap cookie with all the earthy, sweet goodness of rooibos underneath. As I kept drinking it, however, I kinda lost interest and the sweetness of the drink really built up on my tongue. If only all the sips managed to taste as good as the first few…

On a weirdly positive note, though, I had trouble falling asleep last night. After tossing and turning for an hour and going downstairs for a midnight glass of milk, I came back to discover my entire room smelled like gingersnap cookies! Who needs candles anymore?

I definitely get the gingersnap feel in this one – Fusion’s pretty good at capturing the essence of dessert-y items, the Chocolate Cake Honeybush, if not precisely the flavor. It’s best when it’s cooled down quite a bit, then the flavors really come together. I was iffy on this one at first but the more I sip it the more I like it.

Note that this is an incredibly sensitive tea for a rooibos – the instructions recommend 5-7 minutes but I find that five minutes is about the limit, otherwise the citrus fruits will overwhelm this into a sour cup of undrinkable horror. Watch that clock!
