From Floating Leaves Tea

Story
This tea was harvested from Buddha Hand bushes, and then processed into a honey black tea. The leaves are long and spindly, and the broth brews up a deep red. The tea was grown in Pinglin by farmer Chen, the man behind Farmer’s Choice Baozhong. The whole family is very inventive so I wasn’t surprised to hear they made a tea like this. The honey is not a prominent note, but it does result in a particularly sweet black tea. This combo is unusual, and I’ve never tried anything like it before. I think the farmer pulled it off really well, resulting in a delightful new creation!

Description
This is a smooth, rich, flavorful black tea with a very unique aroma. Big malty flavor and dark molasses sweetness. There are undertones of dried figs and dark soy sauce. The Buddha Hand cultivar gives the tea a very distinctive feel; I don’t know how to describe it exactly. It’s intriguing. It adds this complex savory nature to something that’s sweet and playful. The broth fills the mouth, big and bold with a smooth finish and pleasant salivation.

Lively, distinctive tea with lots of flavor! It strikes me that wine aficionados will have fun with this one.
