Que fait-on à Paris au printemps ? Mille choses. Rien. On prend le thé. Toujours avec élégance. Un thé vert subtilement parfumé à la framboise, la rose et la vanille.

sipdown! Thank you missB for letting me try this one. I’m glad that i didn’t buy a whole tin of this as it’s a little floral for me but not so much that the occasional cup of this wouldn’t be enjoyed. Subtract a little of the rose flavour and this would be a total hit for me! thanks missb!

I’m going to start this review by saying that I’m really glad I picked this one up at TJ Maxx. This is my kind of tea!

So this is raspberry, vanilla and rose. And it’s actually the second tea in a row that I had this morning (the first being todays Dammann advent that will be logged tomorrow) that was SUPER creamy. Just lovely. The vanilla is so smooth and sweet. The raspberry is nice fruity, the rose is lush. I even like the green base on this one, which is admittedly not super prominent but it is somehow robust enough and plays well with the rest of the flavors. Yum!

I keep looking at our TJ’s in hopes of a windfall. Not a tin to be had. :(

huh, thanks MissB for revealing the maybe answer to the riddle!

i’ve always been a riddle boy, lol. nina’s for red fruit teas. dammann freres for fruits of all kinds. mariage freres for snapshots of impressionists’s dreams…… fauchon for flavoured greens?

a light sweet raspberry rose tea. unique. beautiful. maybe the answer is this: i like my fauchon green. don’t think i would have guessed that, lol.

thank you MissB. (always lookin’ out for me) xo

this is a beautiful piece. if i could drink it and frame it i would.

it’s neuro transmission something! lazy doctors say ms with a creative spin, but the neurologist thinks more likely a channelopathy which run in my family. to be fair ms is 1:1000 whereas a channelopathy is 1:30 000 000. suffice to say the docs are glad i am well versed in my own medical file, lol. it’s a chewy read. the only thing they all agree on is that i should donate my body to science when i die LMAO. yay post mortem company? =0P

MissB 11 years ago

Heh. Or those companies that slice you up and display you as science and art. ;)

JustJames 11 years ago

i would be okay with that! so long as i get to contribute to the framing choice. =0)

yes. i am dead serious. the body farms…. not as much a priority for me.

Another sample from Dinosara. The dry leaf looks like sencha – long, flat-steamed leaves. The dry scent is raspberry candy with a hint of citrus yumminess. I did a 3 minute steep at 175 degrees.

The brewed tea itself smells quite vegetal but sweet from the vanilla. Yum, I really like this one. The main flavor I get is a lovely combination of the grapefruit and raspberry, fresh and fruity with a little bit of tartness. The vanilla comes in more toward the end of the sip, and that’s when I can taste the lovely vegetal green tea base the most. I can see this being delightful with a bit of sugar, but I’m trying not to add sugar to any of my teas lately. It would also make a lovely iced tea, I’m sure! :)
