Looking at the ingredients in this tea it sounds identicle to SpecialTeas’ Cold Bamboo Passion. And since SpecialTeas does sell its tesa wholesale it makes me slightly suspicious…..

LiberTEAS

It probably is a SpecialTeas blend. I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I wonder what will happen after 2/1/10……

What’s 2/1/10?

SpecialTeas will be closing their wholesale business, though Auggy just confirmed that they’ll still make retail sales http://steepster.com/wombatgirl/posts/53651

I had this lovely tea a couple days ago, but it’s been crazy and I’ve been drinking lots of tea I haven’t been able to log. Anyways, this is a nice one. I normally don’t drink fruit teas because they usually come with more hibiscus than fruit. blah. This one had a lovely rose color without the hibiscus. I loved the flavor. Very berry, currant and raisin. Slightly tart. You need a lot of dry tea to make a flavorful cup and you don’t get much in the bag. And it’s not re-steepable, so it’s not too economical but it’s tasty. I think it tastes way better cold because it’s still a bit tart. Very refreshing. I imagine it would be great mixed with lemonade.

I’ve had one of those weeks where by the end of it I feel like a crazy person so this afternoon I am sure there will be a bunch of weird reviews and attempts. I figured…WHY NOT start with this one!!!

This smells like Raisins, Carrots, and candy.

It’s a bright reddish purple in color. I was so afraid thinking Hibiscus BUT-But-BUT…there is NO Hibiscus! It’s Beet Root I must be seeing!!!!

So…the first sip was a little odd BUT I ended of going…“OH…this isn’t bad”…As I sipped on it I seem to enjoy it more and more! Which surprised me!

I can taste Carrots and Pineapple, then I can taste sugar or a candied-fruit likeness. Then Lemon…and many some raisin. The after taste is a Lemon-Apple type hint. Nothing is overpowering and everything is playing nice it seems!

As it cools the carrot, lemon, pineapple, papaya, and candy-like hints pop thru a bit more.

Honestly…this is most unusual but I am enjoying this much more that I ever thought I would! I am rather shocked about it.

If one thing pops thru a little bit more than the other ingredients it just might be the carrot but like I said before…nothing is overpowering, really.

Interesting, Odd, FUN, tasty, HEALTHY.
