From Dollar Tea Club

Astringent with notes of blackberry and summer currants. Full bodied and rich. This terrific tasting herbal with a touch of caffeine tea makes a perfect cup of Iced Tea!

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #66 overall / Tea #33 for February
#drinkwhatyouown February 7/25

Monday 2/22 this was from Danielle @teaandmeblog 2020 advent calendar that was small business focused. I don’t drink but enjoy fruity teas. This was the kind of fruity black tea I would like. A berry tasty tea that I had hot and plain and even resteeped 2/23 before tossed leaves / cleaned metal infuser basket. Not a place in my cupboard for this but I enjoyed it.

DIY Advent Calendar – Day 12

Iced Tea Sipdown (274)

If I didn’t know better, I would think the “D” in “DIY” stood for Dollar Tea Club because I feel like I have had so many of these blends. I guess its a good way to force me to drink them/get in sipdowns, but still weird.

Today’s tea I made iced after consulting with Roswell Strange. While merlot is usually more room temperature than cold, hot just seemed a bit odd. Drinking it now, I think iced was the way to go.

It does have a sort of merlot vibe to it. My mom is a merlot drinker but personally I prefer white wine. However, given her preference, I have tried it before and while this isn’t spot on, something about it is definitely merlot. I think maybe its the elderberries doing the work here. It has a round mouthfeel to it, like wine, while also having a berry flavor to it. The berry isn’t a sweet berry though and not overly tart either. It’s berry-like but more flat, which sounds bad but works for what they’re going for here.
