Just okay. A touch of cinnamon and nondescript fruitiness.

Not sure why I ordered this one either, I’ve tried it before and didn’t love it. Maybe I remembered liking it more than I actually did ha ha…

I am actually raising the rating a bit, as I feel like it’s more flavorful than I described it in my first note. Maybe the second batch had more plum flavoring? I can distinctly taste the fruit this time, and it does remind me of plum specifically. Then the cinnamon adds warmth and makes it a bit festive. The base is a bit tannic, but I also accidentally oversteeped it a bit. Deb’s black base does tend to be on the brisk side anyway, so I’m not surprised by that.

Still not one I’m clamoring to repurchase, but better than a 58 (my previous rating). Enjoyable cuppa for the holiday/winter season.

Cold Brew!

Honestly, there are enough cake themed teas from Dessert By Deb that I could have done an entire day of blends just from Deb and still had just as many cups of tea crammed in. In fact, the majority of the cake teas that my various friends on IG picked out to celebrate with me were from Deb. Like, the overwhelming majority.

I picked this one because, thanks to a generous gift from tiffanydrinkstea, I have a lot more of this blend compared to other Deb teas in my stash. To be honest, I like the tea well enough normally but I didn’t think it worked cold brewed. too much emphasis on the black tea and cinnamon and the fruitier notes were mostly lost. Cinnamon black tea is totally fine, but not something I’m generally going to reach for cold instead of hot…
